Clapham Classic Events 2011

Welcome to Clapham Classic Events web site. We are a car mad family and have been attending classic car, Hot Rod and steam engine events in the UK and USA for over 35 years and have organised five shows of our own to date. We brought together an exciting assortment of Veteran, Vintage, Classic, American, Hot Rods, Replica Vehicles, Motorbikes and Scooters, which were parked amongst the restored World War 2 buildings of the old World War 2 site of RAF Twinwood Farm, providing fantastic photo opportunities for historical motors alongside historical buildings. Our visitors have enjoyed the chillax- to- the- max atmosphere and a mutual passion for automobiles of all kinds as well as the fantastic selection of World War 2 museums, auto jumble stalls, trade stands, food stalls, music by DJ Big Gazza, authentic 1940s Officers Mess bar, picnic tables and family quizzes all added up to a great day out.

Dave, Lesley and Paul Brown would like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended this year’s events – vehicle participants, visitors, all our family and friends who helped us and to Dave and Liz Wooding and all the museum volunteers for making us all welcome at RAF Twinwood Farm.

The Rebel Mini Club assisted our nominated charity, East Anglian Air Ambulance at our End of Season Get Together. In addition to the foreign currency and old notes that were donated on the day, a total of £911.80 was raised for this worthy cause, including £180 from Paul Brown’s dragster and cheerfully allowed people to sit in his car for a donation throughout the racing season and was still smiling even when little fingers couldn’t resist pulling the parachute lever.
