Clapham Classic Events 2012

Welcome to Clapham Classic Events web site. We are a car mad family and have been attending classic car, Hot Rod and steam engine events in the UK and USA for over 35 years and have organised five shows of our own to date. In 2010 and 2011, we brought together an exciting assortment of Veteran, Vintage, Classic, American, Hot Rods, Replica Vehicles, Motorbikes and Scooters, which were parked amongst the restored World War 2 buildings of the old World War 2 site of RAF Twinwood Farm, providing fantastic photo opportunities for historical motors alongside historical buildings. Our visitors enjoyed the chillax- to- the- max atmosphere and a mutual passion for automobiles of all kinds as well as the fantastic selection of World War 2 museums, auto jumble stalls, trade stands, food stalls, music by DJ Big Gazza, authentic 1940s Officers Mess bar, picnic tables and family quizzes all added up to a great day out.

After much deliberation, Dave, Lesley and Paul have decided not to hold any events this year. With all the massive events taking place this year including the torch relay, Olympics, Paralympics, Queen's Diamond Jubilee as well as many local events including the Bedford River Festival, the summer calendar is already full to overflowing and of course we have the drag racing season to contend with as well.

For those of you who visited our shows, you will remember Paul displaying and firing up his dragster. This season will be his third in the Pro-ET class with five rounds at Santa Pod and two at Shakespeare County Raceway. Last year he came second in the National Championships and is hoping to go one better this year! He is currently looking for sponsorship for the 2012 season, either full or partial sponsorship. His dragster certainly is a distinctive place to advertise your company and as well as exposure on the race track, local news and numerous websites, Paul would be available to bring the dragster to trade shows or promotional activities.
